Web server logs record standard visitor information for each page visited. This information includes IP address, time of access, browser string, and referrer.
Web server logs are kept for a period of five years, as part of auditing requirements for Japanese internet business records.
After this period, the logs and any off-site backups are deleted.
2.3 Email correspondence
This site does not collect email addresses, or maintain any email sending facility. Email systems are not linked to the website.
Visitors who enter into email correspondence with the site owner/operators, for personal reasons or for placing orders, will have this correspondence stored in the email system used, and agree to this by the action of using email. Neither addresses or any other information contained in emails in relation to the operation of this site will ever be handed to 3rd parties, unless legally obliged to by law enforcement, and no unrequested marketing emails will be sent to any visitor who has contacted the site.

Email correspondence is not deleted after this period. Visitors who wish to have their email correspondence deleted after this time may contact the site owner and make a request in writing. The site owners/operates cannot guarantee that data will be deleted from the email systems, as these are owned/operated by other parties who may or may not extend similar privacy policies, merely that our copies of data will be deleted.
2.4 Transaction information
Transactions are handled via email, payments via Paypal or bank transfer. For Email see separate paragraph. Paypal and bank transfer transactions are recorded by the respective entities, and cannot be deleted at visitor request, as part of business auditing requirements.
No Paypal or bank transaction information will be passed on to any 3rd parties, unless required by law enforcement.
3. How data is used
Server log data is kept for auditing purposes. The data may also be used for statistical purposes, such as visitor statistics, in which case any log data is anonymized.
Email correspondence is kept for auditing purposes. Data from emails may be used for statistical purposes, for example countries shipped to, postage methods used, etc., in which case the data is anonymized.
4. Who data is shared with
No data collected by this site, or via email correspondence, is or will be shared with any other party, unless required to be handed over under legal obligations for law enforcement purposes.
5. How data deletion is handled
Data is deleted according to the timetables listed above, at an operationally appropriate time following the end of each Japanese financial year (March 31st). is deleted in as secure a manner available with the intention to prevent any other party from retrieving it.
When deletion takes place, it covers all copies of the original data, on or off site, but not statistical data derived from the original data..
